The festivities of the 80th Bhayangkara Day in Purwakarta Regency felt more meaningful this year with the hosting of the Kapolsek Plered Cup 2026 Volleyball Tournament. The competition, held at the Regada Volleyball Court, Mapolsek Plered, officially opened on Saturday (11/07/2026), as a tangible manifestation of synergy between the police and the community through inclusive sports activities.

A total of 38 men's and women's teams from various villages in Plered and Tegalwaru sub-districts took part in this fourth annual event. The Chief of Plered Police Sector, Police Sector Chief Commissioner (AKP) Ali Murtadho, in his remarks emphasized that this initiative aims to strengthen community ties while serving as a platform for the younger generation to hone their athletic skills on the court.

More than just a competition, the tournament is designed to foster sportsmanship and discipline among youth. AKP Ali Murtadho expressed hope that this event would yield talented prospective athletes capable of bringing honor to the region at higher levels. "Victory is merely a bonus, but character building and brotherhood are the core values we want to instill," he stated.

The positive impact of this event was also directly felt by the local community. The presence of hundreds of supporters packing the sports arena provided an opportunity for local MSMEs to sell their products. This made the tournament quite an effective driver of the micro-economy during the event.

Head of the Organizing Committee, Chief Police Brigadier (Aipda) Jejen Jaenudin, revealed that the qualifying round for the women's category was scheduled for July 11–12, while the men's category would follow on July 17–19, 2026. The winners will take home a total coaching prize money of Rp12 million along with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their hard work.

Through the organization of the Kapolsek Plered Cup 2026, the police force remains committed to bringing activities that deliver tangible benefits to residents. Beyond providing healthy entertainment, this event is expected to consistently serve as a strategic means to strengthen the emotional bond between the National Police (Polri) and the citizens within the jurisdiction of the Plered Police Sector.
