Winwin's career as a member of the idol group NCT has officially ended. On Wednesday, July 8, 2026, the agency SM Entertainment announced that both parties reached an agreement to mutually terminate their exclusive contract, effective July 9, 2026.
In its official statement, SM Entertainment expressed deep appreciation for Winwin's dedication over more than ten years, starting from when he was still a trainee. The management expressed full support for the future career steps of the Chinese-born artist.
Shortly after the announcement, the artist, whose real name is Dong Sicheng, shared an emotional letter on his personal social media accounts. Winwin reflected on his journey from his debut in 2016 with NCT 127 to joining the unit WayV in 2019. He expressed deep gratitude to the agency and the fans who have faithfully supported him over the past decade.
