In an effort to accelerate the transformation of national digital infrastructure, global technology solutions provider, ZTE Corporation, has officially established a strategic partnership with PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MoraRepublic). The agreement, outlined in a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the MWC Shanghai 2026 event, focuses on the development of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services targeting both residential and corporate sectors.
This collaboration comes in response to the surging demand for high-quality internet connectivity, which serves as the backbone of Indonesia's digital economy. Through the integration of strengths between Moratelindo and MyRepublic, the MoraRepublic entity aims to expand internet service coverage across various strategic regions, both in urban centers and areas with rapid economic growth.
President Director of ZTE Indonesia, Liu Sen, stated that his company will bring international-scale technology implementation expertise to be tailored to local technical needs. ZTE is committed to delivering a sustainable operational approach, which will later be combined with MoraRepublic's infrastructure execution capabilities to improve efficiency and service quality for end users.
Furthermore, this initiative is not only focused on physical network construction but also includes the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI)-based technology. Both parties agreed to explore an AI-based end-to-end network architecture designed to optimize performance, ensure service quality stability, and reduce operational costs through smarter systems.
MoraRepublic CFO, Yopie Widjaja, emphasized that this partnership is a crucial step in accelerating the company's long-term targets. The primary focus is to create a resilient and flexible broadband foundation to drive innovation and ensure digital inclusion is felt equally by the general public throughout all corners of the country.
