PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel) recorded positive financial performance in the first quarter of 2026. This success was driven by the company's strategic move to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) technology into their digital services ecosystem. Thanks to this initiative, the company successfully recorded digital revenue growth of 8.8 percent year-on-year (year-on-year).

This subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. adopted a unique approach by not merely making AI an additional feature. Instead, the technology is embedded directly into customers' daily routines through widely used platforms, such as the MyTelkomsel application, the virtual assistant Veronika, and the MAXStream entertainment service. VP Corporate Communications & Social Responsibility of Telkomsel, Abdullah Fahmi, stated that the company's main focus is to present technology that is relevant, safe, and easy for users to operate.

In addition to providing convenience for customers, the implementation of AI is also projected as an instrument to deepen service personalization in the future. Supported by more contextual recommendations, Telkomsel hopes to create significant added value while helping customers optimize their time and digital decision-making efficiency.

The positive impact of this technological transformation is clearly visible in the company's operational metrics during the first three months of 2026. Telkomsel recorded a significant surge in data traffic, with total production volume reaching 5,770 Petabytes. This growth is also directly proportional to the increase in mobile average revenue per user (ARPU), which now reaches IDR 45,000. This combination of performance serves as the primary engine maintaining the stability of the company's revenue amidst increasingly dynamic competition in the telecommunications market.
