PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN) recorded a stellar performance amid global economic dynamics. As of May 2026, the company successfully logged significant performance growth, surpassing the national banking industry average thanks to consistent business transformation and strategic synergy under the Danantara Indonesia ecosystem.
Integration into the Danantara ecosystem has served as the main catalyst for BTN in achieving operational efficiency through shared services and capital optimization. This synergy provides room for BTN to move more agilely and modernly, while aligning the company's business agenda with national development programs.
BTN President Director, Nixon LP Napitupulu, emphasized that the transformation carried out by the company is now bearing tangible results. "We remain focused on increasing productivity, accelerating digitalization, and developing business beyond mortgage so that BTN can grow sustainably and deliver greater added value to all stakeholders," Nixon said in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/7).
Based on consolidated financial reports up to May 2026, BTN successfully recorded a net profit of IDR 1.85 trillion, a sharp increase of 54.37 percent year-on-year (yoy) compared to the same period last year. This achievement far exceeds the net profit growth of national commercial banks, which stood at 4.96 percent according to data from the Financial Services Authority (OJK).
In addition to profitability, BTN also recorded loan growth of 9.97 percent yoy to IDR 403.06 trillion, as well as an increase in Third-Party Funds (DPK) of 9.09 percent yoy to IDR 433.95 trillion. Both indicators once again outperformed the banking industry average, which grew by 8.62 percent and 4.29 percent, respectively.
Through its "beyond mortgage" strategy, BTN is now transforming into a bank that comprehensively accompanies the public's financial needs. Steps to modernize information technology infrastructure and streamline business processes continue to be accelerated to ensure the company remains adaptive and competitive amid increasingly complex market challenges.
