A collaboration between the renowned tailoring house, Wong Hang Bersaudara, and technology company Aksadigitex has birthed a breakthrough called AI Smart Measurement, designed to optimize production efficiency and accuracy on a national scale.
This technology was developed as a response to industry challenges in streamlining the body measurement process, which has traditionally relied on conventional methods. By leveraging AI algorithms, the system is capable of performing body scans with a consistent level of precision. The innovation is the result of integrating Wong Hang Bersaudara's long-standing fashion expertise since 1933 with Aksadigitex's digital data expertise.
The development of this system received positive attention when it was showcased during the 2026 Bhayangkara Day celebrations. President Prabowo Subianto even took the time to directly observe how this technology works at the National Police Logistics Exhibition. This support is seen as a major boost for domestic innovators to continue strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian manufacturing through homegrown technological works.
More than just a commercial application, the AI Smart Measurement system is believed to hold great potential for deployment in mass government agency uniform procurement requiring high accuracy. Moving forward, the implementation of this technology is expected to become a milestone in digital transformation capable of making Indonesia's garment industry more competitive on the global stage.
