Tech giant Apple has just launched a major update for its sports tracking app, Apple Sports. This latest version 4.2 is specifically designed to treat football fans around the world by introducing a number of interactive features and a wider expansion of competition coverage.
In this update, Apple is expanding its football league coverage by adding several top-tier competitions from Europe and Asia. Users can now track notifications, match results, and in-depth statistics from the Dutch Eredivisie, Japanese J1 League, Scottish Premiership, as well as the top leagues of Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, and Poland (Ekstraklasa).
In addition to the new competitions, the most anticipated feature is the integration of visual tactical formation graphics. Through this feature, users can view starting lineups and their real-time positions on the field before and during the match. This move is seen as a serious effort by Apple to compete with other leading live-score apps.
While bringing fresh air to sports fans, the availability of this app is reportedly still limited in some regions. Users in several countries, including the Czech Republic, will apparently still have to be patient, as Apple has not yet expanded the app's regional operational access globally in this update.
