Starting the new 2026/2027 school year on a brilliant note, more than a dozen students from SD Muhammadiyah 1 Solo successfully brought home various awards from sports and academic events. This collective achievement is expected to boost the motivation of the entire school community to continue improving the quality of education and student talent development.

The Vice Principal of Infrastructure and Facilities of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Solo, Jaka Prasetya, expressed his pride in these achievements. According to him, this accomplishment proves the commitment of the educational institution, located on Jalan Kartini Number 1 Ketelan, to producing an outstanding, strong-charactered, and competitive next generation for the nation.

The dominance of the school, which was established in 1935, was clearly evident in the 2026 Sukoharjo Regent's Cup Pencak Silat Championship held at GOR Bung Karno in late July. The school's pencak silat contingent successfully swept 14 medals, consisting of nine gold, three silver, and two bronze medals in both the sparring and empty-handed solo artistic categories.

Some of the names who emerged as first-place winners in the sparring category were Lavanya Kineta Arrokhim (2B) and Adeeva Nasira Misha (5B). Meanwhile, in the empty-handed solo artistic category, the top podium was secured by Shauqi Nurrahman Sindu Atmaja (3A), Qiana Alova Rengganis (3D), Zaula Rafif Fahima Ariby (3C), Dafinah Farzana Malaka (4B), Sakha Narendra Sindu Atmaja (5C), and Fadia Bellvania Adzkia (6B). Other medals were contributed by Adskhan Naufal, Fania Ras Balerina, Nadhira Isna, Banafsha Azkadilina, and Shaqeebrisha Lashira.

Not only formidable in the sports arena, the school's students also shone on the academic stage. Farzana Delisha Risa Humaira (3D) successfully won 1st Place in the Mathematics Competition and 3rd Place in the Class III Science Competition at the Pegadaian Academic Fair. In another event, Florenza Angelica Ulfania Adhia (6B) snatched two gold medals for Science and Akidah Akhlak (Islamic Creed and Ethics) at the National Student Olympiad Week (PESNAS).

This success, Jaka emphasized, is inseparable from the harmonious collaboration between the school, supervising teachers, and the full support of the students' parents. The school management hopes that this fighting spirit and healthy competitive atmosphere can be maintained to guide the students toward even higher achievements at both regional and national levels.
