Head of the Banda Aceh City Investment and Integrated One-Stop Services Office (DPMPTSP), M. Ichsan, attended the Business and Investment Forum held at the Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel, Medan, on Thursday (7/2/2026). His attendance was part of the 18th National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian Municipal Governments (APEKSI) 2026, which aims to strengthen inter-city government networks.
The forum, carrying the concept of "Ice-Business Meeting and Matching," served as a strategic platform for heads of investment offices across Indonesia to engage in discussions with investment practitioners, policymakers, and international partners. During the educational session, business development expert Fajar Informanto emphasized a paradigm shift in attracting capital, where regions are required to be better prepared in building a mature investment ecosystem so that investors come naturally.
In-depth discussions also covered exploring trade collaboration potential with the Government of Catalonia, Spain, as well as optimizing the media's role in promoting regional investment attractiveness. The networking session at the event provided space for representatives of the Banda Aceh City Government to interact directly with development partners on both national and international scales.
Responding to this participation, M. Ichsan expressed optimism that the forum would open new horizons for Banda Aceh's economic development. According to him, the experience and strategies gained during the National Working Meeting will be adopted to improve the investment climate in the capital of Aceh Province.
The Banda Aceh City Government hopes this proactive step will significantly enhance regional competitiveness. Through network strengthening and adopting best investment practices, it is expected that new business opportunities will be created, leading to increased community welfare and sustainable urban development.
