The Gunung Mas Regency Government officially conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the 24th Anniversary celebration series through a committee dissolution meeting held in the Hall of the Bapperida Office, Monday (6/7/2026). The meeting was led directly by the Regent of Gunung Mas, Jaya Samaya Monong, along with Vice Regent Efrensia L.P. Umbing and Chairman of the Anniversary Committee, Baryen.
In his report, Baryen revealed that this year's celebration took place with high public enthusiasm. However, a number of crucial evaluation notes emerged, particularly regarding traffic management, limited parking areas, and waste management around the Kuala Kurun Mini Stadium, which experienced technical issues.
Responding to this, Regent Jaya Samaya Monong expressed appreciation to all parties involved, from security personnel to MSME players. Nevertheless, he emphasized that this evaluation serves as an important foundation so that future events are no longer hindered by the classic problem of limited preparation time.
The Regent proposed a strategic step in the form of accelerating the formation of the committee, which should be finalized by early January. This step is considered crucial so that the committee has sufficient time to secure sponsorship support, organize MSME flows, and thoroughly prepare supporting infrastructure.
In addition to administrative issues, the Regent also paid special attention to the availability of public facilities, especially adequate sanitation or toilet facilities. According to him, the comfort of visitors and invited guests is a priority that must be enhanced to ensure the success of future regional agendas.
It is hoped that through more structured planning from an early stage, the regency's anniversary celebrations in the coming years will become more mature, well-organized events capable of providing excellent service to all people of Gunung Mas.
