The Indonesian Used Car Association (AMBI) has officially appointed Tjung Subianto as General Chairman for the next term. The decision was made during the 2026 AMBI National Congress (Munas) held at Hotel Grand Sahid Jaya, Jakarta, on Saturday (4/7/2026).

This appointment was carried out by acclamation after all participants present from various regions gave their full support to Tjung Subianto to continue his leadership. The forum served as a crucial event in determining the strategic direction of the organization amidst the rapid dynamics of the national automotive market.

In his victory speech, Tjung Subianto emphasized that the National Congress was not merely a process of leadership change, but an important momentum to strengthen collaboration among business players. He committed to turning AMBI into a more professional organization, adaptive to technological advancements, and capable of providing significant added value to all its members.

Strategic priorities moving forward include digital transformation in vehicle trading, enhancing the quality of human resources, and implementing better business governance standards. This step is taken to respond to the potential of the used car market, which is considered larger than the new car segment.

Furthermore, AMBI also plans to strengthen synergy with the government and relevant financing institutions. This cross-sector collaboration is expected to boost consumer confidence while maintaining a conducive business climate amidst the changing challenges of the automotive market in Indonesia.
