Regent of Gunung Mas, Jaya S. Monong, officially closed the series of celebrations for the 24th Anniversary of Gunung Mas Regency during an evaluation meeting held at the Bapperida Hall on Monday (7/6/2026). On that occasion, he expressed high appreciation to the entire committee and regional agencies who contributed to the success of the annual event.

Although this year's event was considered to have run smoothly, Jaya emphasized the importance of a comprehensive evaluation as a benchmark for future improvements. He specifically instructed that the Decree (SK) appointing the committee for the 25th Anniversary of Gunung Mas Regency be issued earlier, specifically in January 2027, to ensure more thorough preparation.

This early preparation strategy aims to provide space for the committee to refine the event concept, optimize sponsor support, and detail technical requirements. In addition, the Regent highlighted public comfort, particularly regarding the improvement of supporting facilities such as adequate sanitation (toilets) for visitors and MSME vendors.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the 24th Anniversary Committee, Baryen, acknowledged several technical obstacles faced, including traffic congestion around the Kuala Kurun Mini Stadium, parking management, and suboptimal waste management. In response, relevant agencies such as the Environment, Forestry, and Transportation Service (DLHKP) together with the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) adjusted their strategies, including expanding parking areas and intensifying waste collection schedules.

All input from the evaluation meeting will be gathered as a foundation for policy improvements. The Gunung Mas Regency Government is optimistic that with more thorough planning and tighter coordination, next year's anniversary celebration will deliver greater comfort, cleanliness, and economic benefits for the wider public.
