The people of Dukuhsari Village, Jabon District, Sidoarjo, once again held their annual "Bersih Desa" or "Tegal Desa" tradition on Saturday (4/7/2026). The celebration, which is an expression of gratitude for the harvest and the safety of the residents, took place solemnly yet festively at the Dukuhsari Village Hall.
The Head of Dukuhsari Village, Ikhwan Widodo, S.E., stated that this agenda is not merely a routine ceremony. The tradition is a reflection of gratitude to God Almighty as well as a strategic moment to reunite community bonds and maintain social harmony among the local residents.
"Through this activity, we hope the village will always be kept away from all disasters. Let us continue to preserve this ancestral heritage so that the togetherness of the residents remains intact and the village economy grows stronger," Ikhwan said in his speech before the attending residents.
As the grand finale of the event series, a Ludruk art performance by the 'Karya Baru' group from Mojokerto, led by Anto Wulyono, was presented to entertain the community. The residents' enthusiasm was evident as they packed the village hall while enjoying culinary offerings from local vendors who also enlivened the atmosphere, creating a positive economic impact for local MSMEs around the location.
Before the peak entertainment night, the series of activities had begun with religious rituals in the form of Khotmil Qur'an and Sholawatan on Thursday evening (3/7/2026) in each neighborhood association (RW) area. This year's celebration closed with the hope that the noble values of culture would remain preserved and the harmony of the residents of Dukuhsari Village would always be maintained in the future.
