Law enforcement officers from the Drug Investigation Directorate (Ditresnarkoba) of the Riau Regional Police (Polda) conducted a narcotics eradication operation at several nightlife venues (THM) in Pekanbaru City in the early hours of Thursday (23/7/2026). This enforcement operation targeted over a dozen entertainment spots to curb the potential distribution and abuse of illicit substances.

In the operation led by the Head of Sub-directorate II of the Riau Regional Police Drug Investigation Directorate, Police Commissioner Assistant (Kompol) Bagus Faria, officers split their forces into three tactical teams to simultaneously sweep 12 entertainment venues scattered across the Pekanbaru area. The first team conducted close monitoring in the Lima Puluh and Senapelan District areas, inspecting popular spots such as Dragon KTV, Paragon KTV, MP Club, and Furaya KTV.

In parallel, the second team moved to monitor the Sukajadi and Pekanbaru Kota areas by visiting C7 KTV, D’Poin, Andrew’s Mart, and Grand Central KTV. At these locations, police officers not only checked the identification and belongings of visitors but also conducted sudden urine tests on guests and the karaoke guides on duty.

Meanwhile, the third team focused their surveillance on the Payung Sekaki and Sukajadi areas, sweeping RP Club, Live House, Gen Z, and Empire KTV. Based on the results of the thorough inspections and random urine tests across all target points, the police confirmed that they found no visitors or workers showing indications of using illegal drugs.

Representing the Director of the Riau Regional Police Drug Investigation Directorate, Senior Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Putu Yudha Prawira, Kompol Bagus Faria emphasized that these regular raids are part of the police's commitment to maintaining regional security. The police are determined to continue tightening surveillance so that all entertainment facilities in Pekanbaru remain free from the illegal activities of drug trafficking.
