The Da Nang City Government officially introduced the "Da Nang Enjoyment Festival 2026" program, scheduled to take place from July 22 to 26. The event is designed as a comprehensive journey of cultural exploration, aiming to provide a deep emotional experience for both local residents and international tourists.
Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Tan Van Vuong, explained that this year's festival will integrate live performing arts elements with the reconstruction of traditional values. Visitors will be invited to trace the cultural narrative of the Quang region, ranging from daily activities in fishing villages to the dynamic modern life in traditional markets.
In addition to showcasing art performances, the festival features an authentic culinary space combined with demonstrations of local handicrafts. Other innovations include a series of night events in the coastal area, such as the Ocean Light Party and Kite Night, specially designed to create new tourism experiences without overlooking the region's authentic values.
This tourism strategy has proven effective in boosting the regional economy. During the first six months of 2026, Da Nang recorded visits from over 9.77 million tourists, representing a 22% increase compared to the previous year. Revenue from the accommodation and culinary sectors also grew impressively, reaching 34.7 trillion VND.
Moving forward, the Da Nang City Government reaffirmed its commitment to using cultural identity as the main foundation for tourism development. By focusing on tourist emotions and sustainable development, local authorities are optimistic about maintaining Da Nang's position as a premier destination that successfully marries modern appeal with the preservation of cultural heritage.
