The Pontianak City Government, through the Health Office, has officially introduced the Mobile Free Health Check (CKG) initiative. This program is designed to make it easier for residents to access early health detection services by visiting crowded public centers such as supermarkets, bazaars, and other community activity sites.
The initiative, spearheaded by UPT Puskesmas Komyos Sudarso, focuses on a proactive approach where healthcare workers are directly present in the field to serve the public. During the visits, residents can receive a series of basic health screenings, including waist circumference measurements, which serve as an important indicator in monitoring the risk of non-communicable diseases.
This step is expected to raise awareness among Pontianak residents about the importance of routine health check-ups. By bringing medical services into citizens' daily activities, the Pontianak City Health Office aims to accelerate early detection of various health issues and support preventive improvements in the local community's quality of life.
