This cutting-edge innovation is targeted to be enjoyed by the Chinese public by the end of 2026.
This in-car entertainment technology will feature a folding 4K HDR resolution screen. The screen is dynamically designed to adjust brightness and visual contrast in response to changing cabin lighting conditions throughout the journey. Acoustically, the system delivers high-performance, low-distortion exclusive audio to bring a true theater atmosphere inside the vehicle.
This collaboration targets the massive potential of the changing role of self-driving vehicles in China, which are increasingly viewed as a "third living space" after home and office. Goer Dynamics itself is a subsidiary of Goer Group, a Shandong-based electronics giant known for assembling global tech devices such as Apple AirPods and Meta Quest. The company also owns the legendary Danish audio brand Dynaudio, whose audio systems are installed in millions of eco-friendly vehicles.
IMAX China CEO, Daniel Manwaring, expressed optimism that this partnership with a world-class manufacturer will set a new standard in the automotive entertainment industry. As the era of autonomous vehicles grows massively, immersive entertainment systems are predicted to become a major consideration for consumers before buying a new car.
