The Bojonegoro Regency Sports Week (Porkab) II 2026 has now entered a crucial phase in the medal standings. Based on data as of Tuesday (7/7/2026), the Kota District contingent has successfully maintained its dominance at the top of the temporary standings. They have collected 18 gold, 15 silver, and 16 bronze medals, reaching a total of 118 points.
This position is followed closely by Dander District in second place, which has collected 75 points through 12 gold, 8 silver, and 11 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Kapas District occupies third place with a total of 59 points, the result of 9 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze medals.
Vice Chairman of the KONI of Bojonegoro Regency, Tonny Ade Irawan, stated that the dynamics of medal acquisition could still very likely change. Although several contingents such as Gondang and Margomulyo districts have not yet recorded any medals, opportunities remain wide open as there are still a number of sports that have not completed their matches until the closing of the event on Friday (10/7/2026).
“Several crucial sports such as kickboxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), and athletics are still to take place. The results from these events will certainly influence the final standings map,” said Tonny.
For context, this year's Porkab II Bojonegoro involves 3,553 athletes from 28 districts competing in 27 sports with a total of 150 events. This event serves as a strategic stage for the local government to foster potential athletes in order to raise Bojonegoro's sports achievements to a higher level, both regionally and nationally.
