Reteh District was enlivened by a prestigious sports competition with the opening of the Open Tournament Volly Ball “Danramil Cup Reteh”. The event, initiated by the Reteh Military District Command (Koramil), is designed not only to scout promising young athletes but also to serve as an engine for the grassroots economy through the presence of a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) bazaar.
The holding of this tournament was welcomed with great enthusiasm by local residents. In addition to being treated to fierce matches between the best volleyball teams, visitors crowding the venue were also presented with various superior products from local micro-businesses showcased in the bazaar area around the court.
The Commander of the Reteh Koramil (Danramil), Captain Arh Nur Cholis, revealed that this competition is a concrete representation of the Army's commitment to getting closer to and providing a positive impact on the wider community.
According to Nur Cholis, this tournament serves as a strategic medium to foster sportsmanship and unite the community. The event is also expected to build the character of the younger generation to steer clear of negative activities, while simultaneously producing talented volleyball players who can eventually bring honor to Reteh District on a higher stage.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of synergy between the sports world and local economic improvement. Through the integrated MSME bazaar, micro-entrepreneurs are given a platform to promote their products, so that the wheels of the economy in Reteh District can turn significantly faster with the large crowd of spectators in attendance.
At the end of his address, Captain Arh Nur Cholis urged all athletes, organizing committee members, and spectators to always maintain order and uphold the values of fair play. He hopes that the Danramil Cup tournament can transform into an established annual event that strengthens the unity between the military (TNI) and the people.
