Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM) is further strengthening its position as a Digital Business Campus by continuing to accelerate the research culture among students. This concrete step was realized through a webinar titled "Writing Scientific Articles for Publication in Reputable International Journals," attended by students of the Information Systems Study Program on Saturday (11/7).
During the knowledge-sharing session, academic and productive publication practitioner Sri Hadianti was present as the main speaker. Sri, who has experience as a reviewer in various reputable international journals, emphasized that the key to successful global publication lies not only in the quality of the research, but also in the author's meticulousness in drafting a systematic manuscript and selecting the right journal according to the research scope.
The Head of the UNM Information Systems Study Program, Dr. Sukmawati Anggraeni Putri, emphasized that the ability to write scientific articles is a crucial competence that students must master amidst increasingly fierce academic competition. According to her, scientific publication is not just the fulfillment of coursework, but a tangible proof of students' intellectual contribution to the development of science on a global scale.
Furthermore, the study program is committed to continuing to provide an academic ecosystem that supports research capacity, ranging from methodology training to research collaborations between students, lecturers, and industry partners. This effort is made so that UNM graduates are not only proficient in the field of information technology, but also highly competitive as innovative researchers.
The event, moderated by lecturer Rani Irma Handayani, was interactive and featured in-depth discussions on how to avoid desk rejection and professional strategies for responding to reviewers' feedback. This initiative is expected to increase the number of scientific publications by UNM students in reputable international journals, while also strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesian research in the international arena.
