The Banten Provincial Government continues to encourage the public to adopt healthy lifestyles by maximizing free health examination programs. Banten Governor Andra Soni emphasized the importance of early detection as a preventive measure to avoid the risk of chronic diseases that can disrupt citizens' productivity.
The appeal was made by the Governor while attending the Banten Province Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis) Healthy Movement Event in 2026, held in Serang City on Saturday (25/7/2026). On this occasion, Andra Soni, accompanied by Tinawati Andra Soni, directly inspected the Banten Provincial Government's Mobile Clinic facilities.
According to Andra, the current health development paradigm must focus on promotive and preventive efforts. The presence of Prolanis is considered very crucial for long-term disease sufferers so they can gain consistent access to treatment to maintain their quality of life while preventing medical complications.
Echoing this sentiment, the Deputy Director of Region IV BPJS Kesehatan, dr. Yessi Kumalasari, added that Prolanis is specifically designed to monitor and manage the health conditions of patients with chronic diseases, particularly diabetes mellitus and hypertension.
In addition to medical counseling, the health event was also enlivened by joint fitness gymnastics activities, consultations with medical staff, free health checks, distribution of medicines, and the provision of administrative service booths from BPJS Kesehatan for local residents.
