The Health Social Security Agency (BPJS Kesehatan) Curup Branch is urging the public in the four regencies of its working area in Bengkulu Province to maximize the use of digital service channels. This step is expected to ease membership access, ranging from administrative management and information searches to submitting complaints, without having to queue at the branch office.
The Head of BPJS Kesehatan Curup Branch, Dwi Sulistyono Yudo, explained that National Health Insurance (JKN) participants now have various practical remote service alternatives. These include the Mobile JKN application, Administrative Services via WhatsApp (PANDAWA), and the BPJS Kesehatan Care Center 165. In addition, a mobile service system is also on standby to allow officers to respond quickly to urgent needs in the field.
These non-face-to-face services are expected to address the proposal from the management of the Rejang Lebong Regional General Hospital (RSUD) regarding the placement of BPJS Kesehatan officers 24 hours a day at the health facility. Dwi acknowledged that the proposal is highly beneficial for helping patients in emergency situations, but human resources (HR) limitations mean the policy cannot be realized at this time.
Although personnel are not stationed permanently at the hospital, BPJS Kesehatan Curup guarantees that assisting the public remains a top priority. In the event of urgent administrative issues, officers are ready to be deployed directly to the hospital. This model differs from the former PT Askes (Persero) era, as since 2018, all facility-based officers have been withdrawn to centralize services at the branch offices.
