Students from the Thematic Student Community Services (KKN) Group 13 of Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) successfully initiated the first Youth Integrated Health Post (Posyandu Remaja) program in Mojoruntut Village, Krembung, on Saturday (4/7/2026). This initiative was launched in response to the urgent need for dedicated health services targeting the productive age group at the junior and senior high school levels.

In its implementation, the KKN team collaborated with the Mojoruntut Village Government, Puskesmas (community health center) medical staff, the village midwife, and actively involved the Karang Taruna youth organization. Unlike conventional posyandu, this activity prioritizes an interactive approach. In addition to undergoing routine physical checks such as body weight measurements, blood pressure checks, and hemoglobin (HB) screenings, the teenagers were encouraged to participate in two-way discussions.

Leader of the KKN T 13 team, Aisyah Windy Rizqi Masruroh, revealed that the educational session focused on understanding reproductive health, achieving balanced nutrition, and the importance of a healthy lifestyle from an early age. Field Supervisor (DPL) Nurul Azizah added that the Q&A concept was chosen so that teenagers feel more comfortable and brave enough to explore health information crucial to their future.

Eny, Head of the Mojoruntut Village Posyandu Cadres, expressed her support for this activity model. According to her, choosing Saturday morning allowed teenagers to attend the events feeling refreshed. She hopes this program becomes a sustainable agenda covering mental health education to anemia prevention to boost enthusiasm among local youth.

A positive response came from participants, including Alvi, who admitted to gaining new insights into the importance of maintaining a proper diet and reproductive health. The success of this inaugural event serves as a stepping stone for the Umsida KKN T 13 team to continue making positive contributions, with follow-up plans including the development of a reading corner for the village community.
