The Mojokerto City Government, through the Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo), is consistently expanding access to digital literacy for its residents. Through an initiative titled "Sinau Teknologi Informasi Programe Telecenter" (Siti Pinter), the local government provides an open learning space accessible to students, educators, and the general public to deepen their technology insights.
The center of this program's activities is located at the Palapa Telecenter, strategically situated in the Gajah Mada Public Service Mall (MPP). There, the public can participate in various practical training sessions, ranging from basic computer operation and graphic design to creative techniques such as photography and digital video editing. To ensure broader reach, the Telecenter Mobile service is also deployed directly to schools and community environments across Mojokerto City.
Head of Diskominfo Mojokerto City, Citra Mayangsari, emphasized that Siti Pinter is a strategic move by the government to create an inclusive digital ecosystem. According to her, public readiness in adopting technology is the main key to the success of digital transformation. By equipping residents with relevant skills, the government hopes the younger generation can be more creative, productive, and able to capitalize on new economic opportunities in the future.
This initiative is seen as an important pillar in Mojokerto City's vision toward the *smart city* concept. By developing adaptive and skilled human resources, it is hoped that the public will not merely be technology consumers, but will be capable of driving innovation in facing the challenges of the continuously evolving digital era.
