Gunung Mas Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) member, Iceu Purnamasari, has officially expressed full support for the implementation of the 25th General Synod of the Kalimantan Evangelical Church (GKE). Held every five years, this highest forum—taking place in Puruk Cahu, Murung Raya Regency, from July 7 to 11, 2026—is seen as a crucial moment for the development of church services.

During the send-off agenda for the contingent in Kuala Kurun on Monday (7/6), Iceu emphasized the importance of community synergy in making the major event a success. Given that the majority of Gunung Mas residents are GKE congregants, she noted that the bond between the region and the church is very close, making moral support from various community elements highly anticipated.

Furthermore, the politician from Electoral District I expressed high hopes that the contingent from Gunung Mas could participate in the entire agenda optimally. One of the main focuses of this meeting is the election of the new General Chairperson of the GKE Synod Board. Iceu hopes this leadership succession process can proceed smoothly and produce a visionary figure for the organization's future progress.

Meanwhile, the Gunung Mas Regency Government stated its commitment to facilitating the smooth running of the event. Gunung Mas Regent, Jaya S. Monong, revealed that 112 people were dispatched as part of the regional contingent. Additionally, the Regency Government is welcoming participants from various regions across Kalimantan passing through Kuala Kurun to stop by and coordinate if they require a transit location during their trip to the venue.
