Sentul, Bogor Regency, witnessed the enthusiasm of dozens of sports enthusiasts during the Tupessy Footgolf Matchday 2026 tournament at Palm Hills Golf Club on Sunday (5/7/2026). A total of 40 participants divided into 10 groups competed to showcase their skills in kicking the ball toward the target hole, using rules that adopt the golf game format.

Footgolf itself is a unique blend of football and golf, where players are required to have good ball control as well as precise placement strategies. The event, which offered a total prize pool of Rp 8 million, reflects that hybrid sports are beginning to gain a place in the hearts of the Indonesian public.

The popularity of this sport shows a positive trend, especially after a number of public figures and football athletes began trying it. Many parties are now comparing the growth potential of footgolf with other rising sports like padel, given its inclusive nature that can be enjoyed by various groups.

Although still relatively new, the participation of communities like the Tupessy Footgolf Club demonstrates a commitment to popularizing the sport. With a challenging yet recreational game pace, footgolf has great potential to become a fresh healthy lifestyle trend for urban communities in Indonesia.
