The Central Leadership of the Chemical, Energy and Mines Workers Union Federation of the All Indonesian Workers Union (PP FSP KEP SPSI) has taken a strategic step by strengthening administrative systems, financial reporting, and information technology (IT). This modernization effort is considered crucial for facing the dynamics of industrial relations and the increasingly competitive transformation of the working world. The policy was presented during the Organizational Management and Administration Training held in Bogor.

Changes in the global industrial landscape triggered by technological advancements and business competition demand that trade unions transform. According to a representative of PP FSP KEP SPSI, Chandra Mahlan, current corporate efficiency and productivity require union officials to be skilled not only in public speaking or field advocacy. Officials are also required to have the capacity to manage professional administration and present valid data as a basis for decision-making.

This strengthening step is part of the "Six Agendas for Organizational Strengthening" of FSP KEP SPSI. This integrated program includes improving the quality of human resources, advocacy, organizational finance, member solidarity, strengthening administration and IT, and positive propaganda. The integration of these elements is expected to create an independent, transparent, and sustainable organization.

In its implementation, administrative standardization will be applied across all levels of management, from the smallest work units to the national level. The integration of the membership database is a primary focus to map the real conditions of workers on the ground. Meanwhile, from a financial aspect, the management of member dues must be handled accountably to support the sustainability of educational programs and legal assistance.

In addition to receiving training materials, the forum also served as a platform for participants to report various challenges in the field, such as inter-union conflicts and violations of Collective Labor Agreements (CLA). In response, the organization emphasized the importance of robust data-based case documentation so that the resolution of industrial relations disputes can be effectively pursued through legal channels and legitimate organizational mechanisms.
