A mass health screening organized for civil servants (ASN) and workers in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN) has revealed worrying health facts. Based on data from the Free Health Check (CKG), it was recorded that 46.4 percent of participants had cholesterol levels above the normal limit. In addition to cholesterol issues, it was also found that 30.2 percent of participants had high uric acid levels, and another 17.1 percent suffered from hypertension.
These findings were disclosed in an educational session titled "Healthy Heart for Work Productivity" held by the IKN Authority in collaboration with Mayapada Nusantara Hospital on Tuesday (7/7/2026). The Director of Basic Services of the IKN Authority, Suwito, emphasized that health is the main asset for all parties involved in the development of the new capital. He stressed that optimal work productivity can only be achieved if the health conditions of each individual are well maintained.
Echoing this sentiment, the Director of Mayapada Nusantara Hospital, dr. Farah Alkatiri, emphasized that worker health is a strategic asset for organizational sustainability. Her institution is committed to continuing to support the government through preventive programs to ensure the work ecosystem in Nusantara remains productive and healthy. The main focus of this program is to raise worker awareness regarding the risk of cardiovascular diseases, which often appear without obvious clinical symptoms.
On the same occasion, Cardiologist dr. Dewi Ayu Paramita reminded that non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and high cholesterol can actually be managed through lifestyle changes and routine early detection. She urged workers not to delay health check-ups until disease symptoms worsen, considering that regular screening is a crucial step in the early prevention of more serious complications in the future.
