The city of Surabaya has once again drawn the spotlight of the youth sports world after successfully hosting the Heroes Push Bike Championship on Sunday (12/7/2026). A total of 600 participants aged 3 to 10 took part in this prestigious competition, which featured not only local young athletes but also international participants from Japan, Thailand, and Malaysia.
The Committee Chairman of the Heroes Push Bike Championship, Fathony Perwira, expressed incredible enthusiasm from parents. Although the majority of participants were from East Java, the event also attracted many young talents from Central Java, West Java, Kalimantan, and East Nusa Tenggara who traveled long distances to participate.
The choice of Surabaya as the championship venue was well-calculated. The "City of Heroes" is considered to have very representative infrastructure, particularly with its 400-meter racing track that meets safety and comfort standards for young riders.
Fathony added that the track quality was a major highlight for participants from various regions. Beyond identifying potential future athletes, the event is also expected to boost the local economy by encouraging participants' families to explore Surabaya's tourism while attending the competition.
