The Bisnis-27 Index started the week's trading on Monday (6/7/2026) with fairly volatile dynamics. Having opened stronger at the level of 401.97, this index, a collaboration between Bisnis Indonesia and the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), soon slipped into the weakening zone due to pressure from several large-capitalization issuers.
Based on morning trading data, there were 10 issuers in the index constituents that experienced selling pressure, while 14 stocks managed to record gains, and the remaining three were observed to be stagnant. PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII) was the main weight on the index with a correction of 1.66% to a price of Rp4,730 per share.
Similar pressure was also experienced by shares of PT United Tractors Tbk. (UNTR) which weakened by 1.46% to the level of Rp23,650, followed by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) with a 1.19% decline to a price of Rp2,490. This negative sentiment also spread to large banking issuers, where BBCA and BMRI corrected by 0.83% and 0.75% respectively.
Amid these pressures, several stocks were actually able to record positive performance and provide support for the index. Mining sector issuers such as ANTM and BRMS led the gains with increases of 3.41% each, followed by BUMI which appreciated by 2.16%.
Meanwhile, the Jakarta Composite Index (JCI/IHSG) in general was observed to still be in the green zone at the start of trading, opening at the level of 5,893.28. As of the writing of this report, 278 stocks were recorded to have strengthened with a total transaction value reaching Rp183.84 billion.
