The 50th edition of the North Sumatra Fair (PRSU) was officially opened by the Deputy Governor of North Sumatra, Surya, in a ceremony held at the PRSU Main Stage, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Medan, on Friday (3/7) evening. This event marks a milestone in the long history of the cultural festival and economic exhibition, which has become an icon of pride for the province's community.

In his speech, Surya emphasized that PRSU is no longer just a space for celebration or entertainment for the public. He highlighted a shift in the festival's focus this year, which is now directed toward becoming an economic driver, where business actors can meet and open up broader investment opportunities for regional development.

The Provincial Government of North Sumatra hopes that the 50th PRSU will serve as a catalyst for the growth of the MSME sector and attract investors to invest in the various potential areas of excellence possessed by each district/city. With a more integrative concept, this event is expected to deliver a real and sustainable economic impact for the people of North Sumatra.
