A member of the Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Police) from the Cilongok Sector Police, Banyumas City Police, held a community visit along with guidance and counseling for health cadres and residents in Grumbul Kalipoh, Langgongsari Village, Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency. This initiative was undertaken to strengthen partnership with the local community to maintain security stability while raising awareness about environmental health.
During the socialization, Bhabinkamtibmas Police Sub-Inspector Budi Sanjaya dialogued directly with local health cadre Aryaningrum and the gathered residents. The police urged the community to play an active role in maintaining a conducive public order and security situation (kamtibmas), and not to hesitate to report any potential security disruptions in their neighborhood.
Not focusing only on security issues, the officer also provided vital education on preventing the spread of infectious diseases, particularly tuberculosis (TB). Residents were urged to always maintain the cleanliness of their homes and surrounding environments, as well as adopt a healthy lifestyle to reduce the risk of disease transmission.
Banyumas Police Chief Commissioner Petrus P. Silalahi, through Cilongok Sector Police Chief Police Commissioner Assistant Susanto, explained that this community visit is a preventive step by the National Police to build closeness with residents. With close communication established, various social issues and potential security disruptions are expected to be detected and anticipated early on.
Meanwhile, Langgongsari Village health cadre representative Aryaningrum expressed appreciation for the police initiative. According to her, collaboration between security forces, health cadres, and residents is crucial in creating an environment that is not only safe from crime but also healthy and free from infectious diseases.
