Police officers from the Banyusari Police, Karawang Police Resort, intensified security at an entertainment or celebration event organized by residents in Gembongan Village, Banyusari District, on Monday (13/7/2026). This proactive step was taken to ensure that all event activities ran in an orderly, safe, and conducive manner for the surrounding community.
Banyusari Police Chief, Inspector Sugiarto, explained that assigning his officers to community events is a form of integrated police service. This aims to anticipate potential security disruptions during large gatherings while bringing the police closer to the community.
On that occasion, Aipda Abdul Rahman, who was on duty at the location, provided public order and security directives to the residents. He emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony during the event and reporting immediately to authorities if any indications of order disruptions are found in the jurisdiction of the Banyusari Police.
In addition to providing advice on neighborhood safety, officers also included educational messages about the dangers of involvement in online gambling. This effort was carried out as a form of police concern in minimizing the negative impacts of online gambling, which currently receives serious attention from authorities.
Karawang Police Chief, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Fiki Novian Ardiansyah, through the Banyusari Police Chief, emphasized that police presence at community events is not merely to secure the location. This activity is also used as a means of two-way communication between the police and residents to convey important information regarding police policies as well as legal education to the public.
