The name of Ruben Onsu's ex-wife, Sarwendah, has recently become the center of public attention after rumors emerged linking her to 'pesugihan' (occult wealth ritual) practices at Mount Kawi, East Java. The issue spread rapidly on various social media platforms after a viral video showed a figure claiming to be the caretaker of the area mentioning the artist's name.
Responding to the uproar, Jordi Onsu, the younger brother of Ruben Onsu, finally spoke up to clarify the narrative. In a live broadcast with Sarwendah, Jordi firmly dismissed all mystical speculations directed at his former sister-in-law.
Jordi explained that Sarwendah's visit to the Mount Kawi area was completely unrelated to any pesugihan rituals. He emphasized that he personally accompanied her during the activity, which was carried out purely for professional purposes, namely the production of podcast content.
"She went there with me. We went there for shooting purposes, not for any ritual as accused," said Jordi Onsu in his explanation.
Sarwendah herself revealed that she was actually reluctant to visit the location. However, she finally agreed to go after being invited by Jordi to be a guest on the podcast hosted by her brother-in-law and his team. This explanation also serves as a direct refutation of the wild speculations that had sparked debate among netizens.
