Veteran rider from Garut, Oktavianus Kristian Pendinata, surprised the national motocross public after clinching the Executive A class title at the Kapolda Cup - National Motocross Championship 2026 Round V in Pasuruan, East Java. This victory is quite special as it was achieved at the Putra Airlangga Rizqy Motorsport Circuit, a track he was racing on for the very first time.

Born in 1985 and familiarly called Kristian, he successfully outperformed a line-up of tough East Java motocross riders such as Jannal Chunk, Mustofa Suwondo, Mahendra, and Adi S. This success dismissed the notion that his victory was based on memorizing the circuit, but was purely due to his tactical intelligence and extraordinary kinesthetic ability to quickly read the racing terrain.

Kristian's name is actually not new to the country's racing scene. He once held the title of MX2 Grade C National Champion in 2006. However, a fatal accident ahead of the Axioo International Motocross 2009 forced him to hang up his helmet early. He used the post-accident recovery period to study business management and build an independent business.

This step bore sweet fruit with the establishment of CTR Indonesia (CTR Bag Co.), a sports bag manufacturer based in Cimenyan, Bandung. Boasting premium quality, CTR's products now target various sports segments ranging from basketball, badminton, to mountain biking. For Kristian, managing a business shares a similar philosophy with racing, where discipline and decision-making momentum are the main keys.

Kristian's longing for the racing world was stirred once again when the Siliwangi Circuit was built right across from his business headquarters in 2022. This momentum was followed by the circuit being appointed to host the West Java Kapolda Cup - National Motocross Championship 2023. The presence of this circuit near his home became the main trigger for Kristian to once again pump his adrenaline on the dirt track after a long focus in the corporate world.

Kristian's return to the circuit was also followed by other legendary West Java riders such as William Rompas and Ridwan Faisal. Through the collaboration of these veterans, they are optimistic they can spark a resurgence of West Java's motocross achievements on the national stage, while proving that their racing passion has not faded.
