The Kerinci Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office made a breakthrough in public service by launching the "Pasporia" (Cheerful Passport Service) program in the Car Free Day (CFD) area of Jalur Dua Taman Bujang Upik, Merangin Regency. This proactive innovation helps residents apply for international travel documents conveniently while enjoying their weekend activities.
The service, which ran from 07:00 to 12:00 WIB, received a warm welcome from local residents. The Head of the Kerinci Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office, Purnomo, revealed that this initiative was intentionally designed to provide a more relaxed, fast, and easily accessible passport processing experience without requiring residents to travel far to the headquarters in Kerinci.
At the CFD location, officers provided full services including document verification, interview sessions, biometric data recording, and photo capture. A total of 30 applicants successfully completed the entire passport administration process in just a few hours.
The high level of public enthusiasm initially caused queues that exceeded the daily quota. Although there were minor obstacles regarding internet network stability on-site, the event ran safely and orderly overall. Purnomo added that this Pasporia program is still a trial and has not yet been scheduled as a weekly routine, as its future implementation will be coordinated first with the Merangin Regency Government.
