A woman with the initials MAN (30) who is a victim of alleged domestic violence (KDRT) by a member of the Tegal Kota Police force, is currently receiving intensive treatment at the Gunung Jati Regional Hospital (RSD) in Cirebon. A medical team has been deployed to ensure the victim's physical and psychological recovery runs optimally.
Beni Ciptawan, a Forensic and Medicolegal Specialist at RSD Gunung Jati, revealed that the treatment of the victim involves a multidisciplinary approach. Four specialists, consisting of a general surgeon, a plastic surgeon, an internist, and a forensic and medicolegal specialist, were deployed to conduct a comprehensive health evaluation.
To date, MAN's condition is reported to show positive progress and she has been able to perform independent activities such as eating, drinking, and communicating well. Nevertheless, the medical team continues to conduct routine observations through wound dressing changes and periodic evaluations to monitor the patient's health progress. So far, the hospital has not seen any urgency to perform surgery.
In addition to the physical aspect, RSD Gunung Jati is also committed to providing mental health support for the victim. The President Director of RSD Gunung Jati, Katibi, added that psychological assistance will soon be provided if deep trauma is found that requires further treatment. This step is being taken as a comprehensive effort to restore the victim's condition after the incident.
Based on the medical records received by the hospital, the victim had previously received health treatment at other facilities multiple times before finally being referred to Cirebon. The records show that the victim has undergone three hospitalizations and eight medical check-ups to treat the impact of the violence she experienced.
