The Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government achieved a brilliant milestone in the basic public service sector. Based on an evaluation by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri), the health Minimum Service Standards (MSS) index in the region successfully reached a perfect score of 100.00 percent in the fourth quarter of 2025. This achievement underscores the effectiveness of health services provided by the local government for the local community.
This success was disclosed by the Director of Regional Government Affairs Synchronization III at Kemendagri, Fauzan Hasan, during an online coordination meeting with officials from the Bangka Belitung Provincial Health Office on Monday (13/7/2026). Referring to data from Kemendagri's e-SPM Bangda application, this extraordinary result was supported by a service recipient index of 80.00 and a service quality index of 20.00.
Furthermore, Fauzan explained that health service aspects for residents affected by health crises, whether caused by natural disasters or extraordinary events (outbreaks) in Bangka Belitung, were fully realized, meeting the 100 percent target. This reflects the preparedness and resilience of the region's emergency health response system.
Head of the Bangka Belitung Provincial Health Office, Ria Agustine, welcomed the achievement that placed her region above the national performance average. For comparison, the national health MSS index stood at 94.18, with a beneficiary index of 75.28 and a service quality index of 18.89. Ria emphasized that this achievement reflects the Bangka Belitung Provincial Government's strong commitment to ensuring citizens' basic health rights in a sustainable manner.
Facing the upcoming period, the Bangka Belitung Health Office is now shifting its focus to oversight of performance targets for the first quarter of 2026. The local government plans to strengthen the synergy of the MSS implementation team in the field and deploy new strategies to maintain this optimal public service performance.
