The commemoration of the 58th Anniversary of BPJS Kesehatan serves as a crucial momentum to educate the public about the importance of updating membership data for the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program. Regular data updates are considered essential to ensure that family health coverage rights remain active and ready for use whenever needed.

Dewi (31), a JKN participant from Kapuas Regency, shared her experience managing administrative procedures at the BPJS Kesehatan Palangka Raya Branch Office. She intentionally updated her Family Card (KK) data so that her child's membership could be transferred under her coverage, having previously been inactive following her divorce from her husband.

For Dewi, keeping her membership status active brings a unique sense of security. She also views the membership contributions paid not merely as an administrative obligation, but as a form of mutual cooperation and charity to help others fighting against illness.

Her awareness of the importance of administrative readiness stems from a medical emergency in 2020. At that time, Dewi's child was born in a critical condition due to head swelling and required immediate intensive care. She acknowledged that having an active JKN program during that emergency significantly eased the family's financial burden.

Head of the BPJS Kesehatan Palangka Raya Branch Office, K Hindro Kusumo, emphasized that health coverage is not solely determined by the quality of medical services, but also by the active status and accuracy of participant data. With a valid membership status, administrative processes at healthcare facilities will run much more smoothly.

To offer greater convenience, BPJS Kesehatan now provides various digital channels so that people do not need to queue in person. Participants can use the Mobile JKN app or the administration service via WhatsApp (PANDAWA) at 08118165165 to conveniently update their data from home.
