The Cidora Village Government, Lumbir District, Banyumas Regency, has begun implementing its village infrastructure development agenda, prioritizing sports facilities and a drainage system in Sidamulih Hamlet. The project, funded by the 2026 Village Fund, has a budget of IDR 40 million.
The main focus of this construction includes building a drainage channel 68.72 meters long and 0.70 meters high. This technical step was taken as a preventive solution to handle potential water accumulation, allowing the sports field area to function optimally as an open space for sports activities and social community agendas throughout the year.
The Head of Cidora Village, Karsono, stated that this development is a direct follow-up to aspirations voiced by local residents. According to him, fulfilling public facility needs is a priority agenda for the village government to create a more comfortable environment while facilitating talent development for the younger generation in the area.
In its implementation, the Cidora Village Government applies a self-management system by involving local residents as the primary workforce. This approach is expected to foster a sense of ownership among residents over the facilities while ensuring construction proceeds according to expected standards, so the benefits can be felt sustainably to improve the quality of life for the people of Cidora Village.
