The South Aceh Regency Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih) has officially completed its supervision of the continuous political party data updating phase for the first semester of 2026. This step was taken to ensure that all administrative procedures of political parties comply with applicable electoral regulations.
Masrafit, Coordinator of the Division for Violation Handling and Dispute Resolution at South Aceh Panwaslih, stated that this supervision is part of their constitutional responsibility. The process was conducted to guarantee political parties' compliance with election laws and technical guidelines managed through the Political Party Information System (Sipol).
The Chairman of South Aceh Panwaslih, Deri Friadi, explained that his team has engaged in intensive coordination with the South Aceh Independent Election Commission (KIP) since the beginning of the year. According to data as of July 1, 2026, ten national political parties have fulfilled their data update obligations, including PDIP, Golkar Party, Gerindra Party, PAN, PKB, Nasdem Party, PPP, PSI, PKN, and the Ummat Party.
On the other hand, Panwaslih noted that eight other national political parties, as well as eight local political parties in Aceh, have not yet updated their data during this period. Absence from this process could affect crucial aspects of the parties, ranging from changes in executive board structures and membership verification to the validation of permanent office domiciles.
Panwaslih emphasized that data updates are a vital element for the existence of parties ahead of the next election stages. Moving forward, continuous supervision will persist to ensure all political parties remain compliant with administrative obligations established by election organizers.
