The 2026 academic year marks a crucial moment for prospective students in the technology sector. The Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) has officially announced plans for the distribution of government scholarships regulated under Decree No. 179/2026/ND-CP. This policy is specifically designed to boost human resources in basic sciences, engineering, and strategic technologies to support the acceleration of national digital transformation.
There are 20 flagship study programs at PTIT proposed to receive this financial support. The primary focus of these programs includes critical fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor technology, cybersecurity, data science, and industrial automation. This step aligns with the directives of the Ministry of Education and Training to produce competent experts who are ready to compete on the global stage.
Regarding the amount of support, students who pass the selection process are eligible to receive scholarships ranging from 37 million to 55 million VND per year. This assistance is provided during the active study period, for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year. The disbursement of the scholarship remains dynamic; students must maintain academic performance standards and good conduct each year to ensure the financial aid continues until the end of their studies.
