PT Kereta Commuter Indonesia (KAI Commuter) has officially begun trialing the Nanoe X air purification technology on electric commuter train (KRL) sets. This strategic step was taken as a concrete effort by the company to improve service standards and ensure the comfort of all users of the mass transportation service.

VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter, Karina Amanda, stated that the adoption of this Japanese technology is part of the company's commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, particularly regarding environmental aspects. This innovation is expected to provide better health protection for passengers during their journey.

Nanoe X technology works by releasing water-wrapped hydroxyl radicals to inhibit the growth of harmful microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, mold, and pollen that often accumulate in enclosed spaces. This system is specifically designed to purify cabin air quality sustainably and effectively.

In addition to maintaining air sterility, this technology is also claimed to be able to neutralize unpleasant odors clinging to the train interior. With the implementation of this advanced air filtration system, KAI Commuter hopes to create a more hygienic and comfortable transportation ecosystem for the daily mobility of millions of people.
