The Bandung City Government has stated that the transition process for the management of Bandung Zoo is currently entering a crucial phase, namely the finalization of business calculations. All stages are ensured to proceed within legal corridors and applicable regulations to maintain public accountability.
Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, emphasized that the local government's role is limited to regulatory oversight functions. He assured that he would not interfere with the details of the commercial agreement between the management parties, provided those points do not violate established legal provisions.
The government is optimistic that the entire administrative process can be completed by July 2026. This aligns with the commitment of the auction winner, who demonstrated good faith by settling the annual contribution of IDR 4.3 billion just two days after the tender results were announced.
Furthermore, the Bandung City Government is now focused on fulfilling the administrative obligations under the government's responsibility. This phase is an absolute prerequisite before signing the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to ensure the zoo's future operations run smoothly and benefit the public.
