The Sorong City Government officially held a strategic coordination meeting to discuss the expansion of Siloam Hospital on Tuesday (7/7/2026). The meeting, which took place in the Anggrek Meeting Room, was chaired directly by the Mayor of Sorong, Septinus Lobat, accompanied by Assistant II for Economy and Development, H. Thamrin Tajuddin, and attended by representatives of the Southwest Papua Province BP3OKP.
In his directive, Mayor Septinus Lobat emphasized that the health sector is a top priority in the regional development agenda. He believes that enhancing facilities and services at Siloam Hospital will have a significant impact, not only for the residents of Sorong City, but also as an important pillar for the availability of quality healthcare services throughout the Papua region.
To ensure this agenda runs smoothly, the Sorong City Government instructed all relevant regional government agencies to provide full support and coordinate intensively. The Mayor stressed that cross-sector synergy is key to overcoming administrative and technical obstacles so that this expansion project can immediately deliver real benefits to the broader community.
In addition to technical support aspects, the meeting also highlighted the importance of data validity as a benchmark in policy-making.
