Tegal City now has a new medical facility after the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, inaugurated Harapan Sehat Hospital on Tuesday (21/7/2026). The presence of this type-C private hospital is expected to expand the equal distribution of access and quality of healthcare services for the community in the western part of the Northern Coast (Pantura) route.
In his speech, Ahmad Luthfi appreciated the investment steps taken by PT Ati Sri Subekti Sehat. According to him, health is one of the fundamental needs of the community that must be fulfilled through solid collaboration between the government and the private sector to ensure public welfare.
The Governor also explained that the addition of this facility is in line with the Mobile Specialist Doctor (Speling) program initiated by the Central Java Provincial Government. The proactive outreach program is claimed to have reached more than 9 million residents in 1,100 villages to address the disparity in access to specialist doctors in rural areas.
The Director of Harapan Sehat Hospital in Tegal City, Husen Al Rasyid, explained that the hospital is committed to providing professional and safe medical services. In the initial phase of operation, the hospital provides services in obstetrics, pediatrics, internal medicine, surgery, general clinic, 24-hour emergency room (IGD), and intensive care unit (ICU).
Meanwhile, the CEO of Harapan Sehat Hospital, Muhadi Setia Budi, revealed that the sixth hospital built by his business group is projected to become a regional referral center. These medical services target not only residents of Tegal City, but also surrounding areas such as Tegal Regency, Brebes, Pemalang, and Cirebon.
