MEDAN – PT Semen Padang officially held the Sales Area (AP) 1 Distributor Summit in Medan, North Sumatra. This strategic agenda is aimed at strengthening business fundamentals while fostering closer synergy with the entire distributor network in the Sumatra region to secure sustainable market dominance.

As part of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG), PT Semen Padang plays a vital role as the Coordinator of AP 1. This operational area covers a vast region, stretching from Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, to Bengkulu. This meeting focuses not only on sales quantity targets but also on long-term business health.

The President Director of PT Semen Padang, Pri Gustari Akbar, stated that the presence of distributors has a direct impact on the stability of the company's market share. According to him, the cooperative relationship established must not be limited to transactional aspects but must transform into a strategic collaboration that provides added value to both parties.

Echoing this sentiment, SIG's Group Head of Retail Sales, Giri Prabowo, explained that current competition in the cement industry requires a robust business ecosystem. SIG encourages the implementation of the PILOK (Market, Infrastructure, Legal, Organization, and Finance) framework so that distributors can maintain product availability and respond quickly to changing consumer behavior.

Through this forum, PT Semen Padang and 55 distributors from both retail and project segments discussed the latest market dynamics directly. The optimization of SIG's product portfolio distribution—such as Semen Padang, Semen Andalas, Dynamix, and Semen Merdeka—is expected to accelerate service delivery to the end consumers.
