PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (KB Bank) has officially set an ambitious target to increase the share of its wholesale banking business to 70 percent of the company's total portfolio by the end of 2026. This figure marks a significant increase from the previous year's realization, which stood at around 64 percent.
Wholesale Director of KB Bank, Widodo Suryadi, emphasized that this strategic move does not mean the company is sidelining the retail segment. On the contrary, KB Bank is adopting a holistic business approach in which all business lines are continuously strengthened side-by-side to ensure company stability.
"We view this holistically, without separating retail and wholesale interests. Our focus is on the growth of sectors that demonstrate strong resilience against economic shocks by building a solid business ecosystem," Widodo stated during a media briefing in Jakarta on Thursday (2/7/2026).
In its development strategy, KB Bank emphasizes the importance of the bank's function not merely as a credit lender, but as a comprehensive payment system manager. By monitoring customer cash flows, the bank can identify business opportunities while strengthening early risk mitigation through transaction activity detection.
The target growth will be supported by a combination of new customer acquisition strategies and the optimization of existing clients. While targeting wholesale credit portfolio growth of IDR 22–23 trillion or 7–8 percent year-on-year (YoY), management ensures that the expansion will remain selective, prioritizing healthy and prospective business sectors.
