PT Ekamas Mora Republik Tbk (MoraRepublic) has officially entered into a strategic collaboration with global technology provider ZTE Corporation. Signed at MWC Shanghai 2026, the agreement marks the company's ambitious step to expand the reach of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) and Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services for both residential consumers and corporate sectors in Indonesia.
This partnership is predicted to intensify competition in the home internet service industry, following similar moves previously made by other incumbent players. President Director of ZTE Indonesia, Liu Sen, revealed that this collaboration aims to combine ZTE's expertise in global telecommunications infrastructure implementation with MoraRepublic's local execution capabilities.
In this development project, both parties are committed to implementing artificial intelligence (AI)-based network operations. The use of intelligent end-to-end network architecture is expected to increase efficiency, ensure more stable service quality, and optimize the overall customer digital experience.
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of MoraRepublic, Yopie Widjaja, believes this step is not just a technology upgrade, but an essential foundation in supporting Indonesia's transition toward a more inclusive digital economy. According to him, integrating the strengths of Moratelindo and MyRepublic into this ecosystem represents the company's effort to meet the ever-surging demand for high-speed connectivity.
Beyond focusing on infrastructure development, the collaboration also includes exploring commercial opportunities, joint innovations, and technical knowledge sharing. These efforts are expected to create a more flexible digital ecosystem to support sustainable business growth for all customers across the nation.
