The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional 'Veteran' Jakarta (FK UPNVJ) has officially initiated a strategic collaboration with BPJS Kesehatan Regional Office IV. This partnership focuses on the development and trial of the Community Chronic Disease Management Program (Prolanis), targeting lecturers, educational staff, and students within the campus environment.
The agreement was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Thursday (July 9, 2026) by the Dean of FK UPNVJ, Dr. Dr. Taufiq Fredrik Pasiak, along with the Deputy Director of BPJS Kesehatan Regional Office IV, Dr. Yessi Kumalasari. This step was taken as a concrete effort to strengthen sustainable promotive and preventive health services.
Through this initiative, FK UPNVJ is positioned as a trial locus for services focused on managing diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Program participants will receive access to health education, regular health status monitoring, and active guidance to ensure a better quality of life. This program also serves as a means of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, which integrates education, research, and community service.
Both institutions are committed to supporting each other through data exchange and the provision of required facilities during the trial period until December 31, 2026. While BPJS Kesehatan will handle oversight and technical coordination, FK UPNVJ will facilitate health history screening and campus-wide socialization.
The Rector of UPNVJ, Prof. Dr. Anter Venus, emphasized that this partnership reflects the university's dedication to contributing to the health of the broader community. By prioritizing medicolegal aspects and personal data protection, this program is expected to become a pilot model for effective and measurable community-based health services that deliver a positive impact on the entire academic community.
